The Problem

John 3:19 'And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light.'

Man is sinful by nature. He loves darkness rather than the light who is Jesus Christ (John 8:12). Darkness or sin is anything that is morally evil like cheating, lying, lustful thought. However it is also anything that is morally good like money, education, work, friends, and family that you value more than God.

Romans 3:23 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.'

James 2:10 'For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.'

If loving God is the greatest commandment, what is the greatest sin? Are you also guilty of committing the greatest sin? If all men are guilty, what does all men deserve then, reward or penalty?
